On 15 April 2026, Pakistan’s border forces destroyed an Afghan Taliban post along the Pak-Afghan border in the Bajaur sector.
The action came in retaliation to Afghan Taliban artillery firing in the area earlier that killed 5 Pakistani civilians, including women and children. The positions that were targeted in retaliatory fire were being used for artillery fire at the civilian population.
