Four construction workers working on a road construction project were abducted in the Koki Khel area of Tirah Valley in the Khyber District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Jawad Yousafzai (@JawadYusufxai) reported on X.
According to police, the incident occurred on Saturday, 20 April, when armed Pakistani Taliban (TTP) militants abducted four construction workers working on a road construction project in Rajgal. Though NexConflict has not obtained the identities of the victims, it was confirmed that three of the workers hailed from the Zhob area of Balochistan. Security forces and police launched a search operation following the incident, though the whereabouts of the abducted victims are unknown at this time. A militant group of the Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility for the abduction.
In recent years, terrorist groups of the various factions of the Pakistani Taliban have increasingly abducted civilians and off-duty security personnel throughout the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. As per data previously obtained, 186 civilians and 58 security forces personnel were abducted by militants throughout 2025, with some of the victims being released upon intervention by local elders and some being killed by their abductors.
