At least 115 people were killed and 31 more were injured in various firefights and terrorist attacks that occurred throughout the province in the span of a week from 1–7 June. Four militants were also arrested by security forces in the same timespan. The casualties include: 11 civilians killed and 22 more injured, five security forces personnel killed and six more injured, and 99 militants killed, three militants injured and four militants arrested/captured.
On Monday, 1 June, a commander and key operative affiliated with the Ittehad-ul-Mujahideen (IMP) faction of the Pakistani Taliban — also known as the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) — identified as Shahid alias Commando was killed while three other militants (Moheb alias Touhedi, Sajid alias Zakir, Zakir alias Zarrar) were injured in a security forces operation in Baka Khel Tehsil, Bannu District, as reported by War Analyst (@War_Analysts) and The Khyber Chronicles (@TKCkhyber) on X. Meanwhile, Taliban militants blew up a gas pipeline in the Kaski Akhondan area of Miryan Tehsil, Bannu District, as reported by Jawad Yousafzai (@JawadYousufxai) on X.
On the same day, the dead bodies of 2 people (presumably killed by Taliban militants) were found in the vicinity of Lakki Marwat city, with one found in the Manjiwala area within the limits of Lakki city Police Station and one near the Bano Narai Bridge, as reported by Lal Wazir (@lalwazir19) on X. Elsewhere, a 19-year-old resident of Zir Sar Dingar Kayi village of South Waziristan by the name of Razaullah — who had been abducted by Taliban militants — was shot dead by the militants in the Dushka area of South Waziristan District, as reported by Lal Wazir (@lalwazir19) and The Khyber Chronicles (@TKCkhyber) on X. Separately on the same day, at least 13 Taliban militants including an Afghan national were killed during a major firefight that erupted between security forces and militants in Khuziyai Plangzai area of Darpakhel in Miranshah Tehsil, North Waziristan District. Several civilians (coded as six) and livestock were also injured in the crossfire. On Tuesday, 2 June, a Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) official named Hamza was killed in firing by Taliban militants in Mattani area of Peshawar, as reported by valley.fane (@LairsW54332) on X. Meanwhile, an off-duty Police Constable was shot dead by Taliban militants in Tank District, as reported by insurgency warfare (@Pakilad3) on X.
Elsewhere, Taliban militants of the IMP faction carried out a suicide bombing attempting to target security forces in Eidak area of Mir Ali Tehsil, North Waziristan District. Security forces foiled the attack, killing four Taliban militants in the process, though two civilians who were members of the family of Junaid — affiliated with the National Democratic Movement (NDM) — were injured in the blast. Security forces continued counterterrorism operations in the area, killing another 21 militants in the area to bring the militants’ death toll to 25. The suicide bomber was identified as Umar Khurasani. On Thursday, 4 June, two Taliban militants were killed during a firefight with security forces in Sheikh Banda area of Halimzai Tehsil, Mohmand District, as reported by War Analyst (@War_Analysts) on X, and by The Khyber Chronicles.
Separately, Taliban militants opened fire on the Gul Shireen School in Bannu District, as reported by The Khyber Chronicles (@TKCkhyber) on X. Fortunately, no person was harmed in the terrorist attack.
Elsewhere, Taliban militants blew up three bridges in separate incidents in North Waziristan District. The incidents occurred in Moski area where a bridge on Nizam Road was destroyed, in Khusokhel area where a bridge was destroyed, and near the house of Akbar Ali in Ipi village where another bridge was destroyed, as reported by The Khyber Chronicles (@TKCkhyber) on X.
Meanwhile on the same day, a major incident of infighting erupted between Taliban militants of the Hazarat Hussain alias Umar group and the Hakeemullah Dotani group in Giddarah area of South Waziristan District. 8 Taliban militants from both sides were killed in the clash, as reported by Strategic Warfare (@WarUpdatespp) on X. A firefight also erupted between security forces and Taliban militants in Bannu District, as reported by Lal Wazir (@lalwazir19) on X.

On Friday, 5 June, at least 42 Taliban militants of the IMP faction including commander Tariq were killed and four more were arrested during operations conducted by security forces in Khuzyai, Palangzai and surrounding areas of Miranshah Tehsil, North Waziristan District, as reported by War Analyst (@War_Analysts), Eagle Eye (@zarrar_11PK), The Khyber Chronicles (@TKCkhyber) and insurgency warfare (@Pakilad3) on X. Earlier reports alleging the death of senior commander Fida Dawar were found to be false.

On Sunday, 7 June, security forces carried out a quadcopter drone strike on a vehicle carrying explosives for a suicide bombing attempted by Taliban militants in Wana area of South Waziristan District. The strike destroyed the vehicle and the explosives, and also likely killed the driver who was a Taliban militant, as reported by War Analyst (@War_Analysts) on X.
